So today was the first Mother's Day without my mom. I kept trying to think of something to cook in her honor, but I couldn't bring myself to make a decision. I was probably just trying to think about other things. But Jim took this photo of my mother and I on Mother's Day 2006. We took her to Savannah for the weekend and had lunch on Mother's Day at Paula Deen's restaurant, "The Lady & Sons." She loved it! Lots of fried food, butter and salt...
