What a strange week. First Farrah died on the day we opened the Store at Grant Design Collaborative. A few hours later, I saw a post on Facebook about Michael Jackson. Of course, I had my doubts. His career was all about surprise and circumstance. Much to my dismay, I discovered that he really had died. What a travesty. He truly was brilliant.
And how much hotter can it get in Georgia? It's only June and damn the heat! So, this weekend has been about the pool. Oh the calm of floating above chlorine. Our dear friends Jeff and Cory joined us in the pool this afternoon, and all was right in the world – especially after a couple rounds of Georgia Peach Daiquiris! Jim and Sasha Coryea created an amazing tablescape for the evening festivities.
Sunday Supper consisted of Southern charcoal grilled comfort...bacon cheese burgers and turkey burgers. Complete with grilled asparagus and oven roasted corn on the cob with chili lime butter. The last act consisted of a classic upside down pineapple cake a la mode! All in all, a perfect night on the side porch!
